Unikat Flow is a smart hydrogen-enriched water dispenser system for gyms, studios and offices. Water is filtered, chilled and enriched with hydrogen right before serving, and access is through the Unikat app.
What is hydrogen water?
Hydrogen water is water in which additional molecular hydrogen (H2), a gas with no taste or smell, has been dissolved. It contains nothing added other than this gas. At Unikat Flow, hydrogen is added by electrolysis right before serving, because dissolved hydrogen leaves the water within hours.
What are the benefits of hydrogen water?
Honestly: in the European Union there is no authorised health claim for hydrogen water, and the existing studies are small and do not support therapeutic promises. What we can say with certainty is that water contributes to the maintenance of normal physical and cognitive functions, at a minimum of 2 litres per day. The rest is cold water, prepared at serving, with no PET bottles.
What is a Unikat Flow water dispenser?
A Unikat Flow dispenser is a connected unit, installed in gyms, studios and offices, that filters mains water, chills it and enriches it with hydrogen on demand. Access is through the Unikat app, by scanning the code on the unit, into your own reusable bottle.
How does Unikat Flow work?
Water is filtered through zeolite and activated carbon, chilled and passed through an electrolysis chamber with 7 titanium plates, right before serving. We add nothing to the water. You choose the portion in the app (250, 500, 750 or 1,000 ml) and refill your bottle in a few seconds.
How much water should you drink per day?
According to EFSA, water contributes to the maintenance of normal physical and cognitive functions at an intake of at least 2 litres per day for an adult. During training, the average consumption measured at Unikat Flow dispensers is 0.8 litres per session, depending on intensity and duration.
Is tap water safe to drink?
Tap water in Romania is drinkable where the network is compliant, but taste and smell vary from one town to another, mainly because of chlorine and old pipework. Unikat Flow uses mains water and filters it through zeolite and activated carbon, which retain chlorine, sediment, taste and smell.
Does hydrogen water have contraindications?
No contraindications are known for drinking hydrogen water in healthy people, and molecular hydrogen is an inert, tasteless gas. The existing studies are small and do not support therapeutic promises. If you have a medical condition or are under treatment, talk to your doctor before changing your hydration habits.
What is the difference between hydrogen water and alkaline water?
They are different things, often confused. Alkalinity refers to pH, that is, how acidic or basic the water is; molecular hydrogen is a dissolved gas, independent of pH. Unikat Flow does not display pH values as a selling point and makes no promises about alkalinity.
What do studies say about hydrogen water and sport?
Small studies on athletes suggest modest reductions in lactate and perceived exertion (a 2024 meta-analysis pooled 29 studies with 597 participants). Effects on performance have not been demonstrated. Unikat Flow presents these results with their limits and does not promise effects on athletic performance.
Why hydrogen water from a dispenser, not from a bottle?
Dissolved hydrogen leaves the water within hours, and it migrates measurably through the walls of plastic bottles. Hydrogen water bottled in PET months ago no longer delivers what the label promises. At the dispenser, water is prepared at every serving and you drink it within minutes.
How much does access to Unikat Flow cost?
You pay in the Unikat app, per refill or by subscription, at the prices shown in the app, with no hidden costs. For gyms, studios and offices, installation requires no upfront investment; the model is based on sharing the revenue generated by usage. The reusable Unikat bottle is ordered in the app, at the price shown there.
