Cookie policy

This is an English translation of the Romanian legal texts, provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.

This policy explains what cookies are, what types the website https://unikatflow.com (operated by Unikat Global SRL) uses and what similar technologies the Unikat mobile app uses.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the browser when you visit a website. They help the website work, remember your preferences and understand how it is used. Optional cookies (statistics and marketing) are activated only with your consent, in accordance with Law no. 506/2004 and the GDPR.

2. Cookies on the unikatflow.com website

Strictly necessary (no consent required): essential for the website to work, for example remembering the chosen language and remembering your cookie choice. They are deleted when you close the browser or within 12 months at the latest.

Statistics (consent-based): in its current form, the website does not use statistics cookies.

Marketing (consent-based): in its current form, the website does not use marketing cookies.

3. Technologies used in the Unikat mobile app

The Unikat mobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses technical device identifiers needed for the app to work:

• a session identifier, to keep you logged in to your Account;
• a device identifier used by the push notification provider (Firebase), to deliver notifications about the subscription, the personalised bottle and, if you have enabled the option, the Partner location's campaigns;
• local technical logs, for error diagnosis.

These identifiers are also described in the Privacy policy, section 2.

The device identifiers used for push notifications are not cookies within the meaning of Law no. 506/2004, but we treat them with the same transparency safeguards: you can stop marketing and Partner location campaign notifications at any time, without affecting how your account works or your access to the dispensers, in accordance with section 5.

4. Why we ask for consent for some cookies

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because, without them, the basic functions of the website (language, cookie preference) would not work correctly. Statistics and marketing cookies are not necessary for the website to work; they are activated only if you choose to accept them from the consent banner, in accordance with the GDPR and Law no. 506/2004. You can browse the website without them.

5. Third-party resources

Fonts are hosted on our own server, so displaying the page sends no requests to external font providers. The App Store and Google Play badges link to the app stores' pages; those providers may record the technical request (IP address) when you follow the link, in accordance with their own policies. Unikat Flow does not control the cookies these third-party websites may set once you have left unikatflow.com.

6. How to control cookies and notifications

On the website you can delete and block cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works. A consent banner appears only if we activate statistics or marketing cookies; in its current form, the website does not use such cookies.

In the mobile app, you can stop marketing and campaign push notifications from the app settings, the Notifications section, or from your phone's operating system settings (Android or iOS). Transactional notifications about the subscription and personalised bottle orders remain active while the account is active, for the proper functioning of the Service.
